Teamworking (G20044) (Level 5)

Purpose
This course is designed to allow participants to gain an FETAC credit in Teamworking at Level 5.

The course is designed for delivery in a teamworking environment and to encourage learners to value their personal experiences and contributions in teamworking.

General Aims

Learners who successfully complete this module will:

  • appreciate the role of teamworking within organisations

  • understand how teams are best constructed

  • develop an awareness of the different roles and personality types

  • in teamworking

  • work effectively as a team member

  • develop a range of skills effective in teamworking

  • implement team actions.


The course is divided into 4 units.

  • Unit 1 Teams

  • Unit 2 The Team Member

  • Unit 3 Skills for Teamworking

  • Unit 4 Leadership Skills in Teamworking


 

Turn Groups Into Teams

Duration:
1 Day

Intended for:
Anyone that leads a team.

This course plan will show you how to turn any group of people into a focused, can-do team.

Built around the three key sessions of "Developing the Team", "Threats to Teamwork", and the team game, "Working Together", this course plan is a perfect blend of teamwork theory and teamwork practice.

The course covers:

  • The Natural Life of Teams

  • Directions of Growth

  • Team Cohesion


With the "Turn Groups Into Teams" course, you will be able to turn unfocused groups into cohesive teams.

 

Team Leadership

Having an effective team around you is crucial. However, it is an area that is often left to chance, which can lead to de-motivated individuals that do not feel part of the business and consequently do not perform.

This course looks at what it takes to lead an effective team and how you can get the best out of the people in it by understanding the role of leader, both personally and from the point of view of the team.

Intended for: Anyone that leads a team.

Objectives:

By the end of this course participants will:
