To ensure that all site personnel undergo basic health and safety awareness training with the view to making a positive To contribution to the prevention of accidents and avoidance of health hazards,
To maintain a register of personnel who have received such training,
To provide all participants with a FAS Safepass registration card, which will indicate that the holder has attended a formal course in health and safety.

This module is a statement of the standards to be achieved to gain an FETAC credit in Safety and Health at Work at Level 5. It is a mandatory module for the National Vocational Certificate Level 5 in Community Care and the National Vocational Certificate Level 5 in Security Studies. It is designed to be taken across a wide range of vocational areas.
This module is designed to provide the learner with the skills and knowledge to promote and maintain safety and health in the working environment. The module should be delivered in the context of the learner’s chosen vocational area.
